SATURDAY, JUNE 6
Dear Members of the FASNY Community,
I am overjoyed to share with you that we had a very successful virtual gala on Saturday. The outpouring of support shown by the community was just magnificent, and the results far exceeded our expectations. We have raised over $720,000 for our amazing school!
You all came together—our faculty, students, parents, and alumni—to show that, no matter where we are, we are all united for the betterment of FASNY. Our school is great because of YOU, and I'm deeply grateful to the members of the FASNY Gala committee for all of their hard work in pivoting to this new, virtual format under the amazing leadership of our co-chairs, Marina Fadel and Ghita Nekmouche.
I thank all of you—our sponsors, donors, ticket holders, raffle participants, volunteers, and bidders who kept the bids going all of last week, and even made additional donations in support on the night of the event! Your engagement will make a real difference in the lives of our students. I ask each of you to please take a moment to review our list of sponsors, whose steadfast support will allow us to continue to improve our students' educational experience. In addition, please view our virtual journal advertisers, as many of them are local businesses that will continue to need our support in these difficult times.
This year's gala will never be forgotten as it was historical in so many ways—our first virtual gala with the most creativity, our largest attended event with over 1,000 viewers, our least costly gala to date, and the first gala attended by students. This certainly was a memorable experience for the entire community.
Finally, I'd like to once again recognize our "Sparking Creativity" Gala honorees—Janine and Tom Hill—for their unwavering support to FASNY.
Thank you, all, and please stay safe and healthy!

Gala 2020 Honorees
We are thrilled to announce the "Sparking Creativity" Gala 2020 honorees. Mr. Tom Hill and Mrs. Janine Hill have graciously accepted our invitation to be the first joint recipients of the Hermione Award. As individuals, Mr. and Mrs. Hill have achieved global distinction in their fields and helped shape industries and economies worldwide. As a couple, they embody the bi-cultural nature (Mr. Hill is American, and Mrs. Hill is French) of our school, and lastly, as philanthropists, they invest in advancing the role of arts and education in our city and society. The Hills are an extraordinary duo who care deeply about the world in which we live, and our hearts are filled with joy to be honoring them with the Hermione Award.
